I have my daughter to thank for that. Thank you Jennifer. They do make gorgeous pictures and are always full of laughter and smiles.
Of course to be a Grand Mother I had to be a Mother first. I have two grown children. A son who lives in Missouri and a daughter who also lives in Missouri. I love them both more than either will ever know. But a mother's love is like that. It NEVER goes away.
We also have, through my husband, one adopted daughter who is grown and two younger daughters who much to our disappointment do not live with us. But we wished they spent more time here than in Texas. They are growing up much too fast and we fear we have missed too much of their lives already.
Now that I am an empty nester, I have gone through the different stages of that. First emptiness and sorrow, transitioning to golden silence, peace and tranquility. It's all in what you get used to. Now I have a hard time being with my grandchildren for too long because I just can't seem to remember my children ever being that busy or vocal.
My days are now spent primarily with my new four legged children. I have 3 girls and 3 boys. Nala, Mitsy, and Sassy are the girls. Buddy, Benjamin and Carlos are the boys. Nala is a 7 year old Black Lab. Mitsy is a 2 year old Maltese. Sassy is a 1 1/2 year old Shorkie. Buddy is a 3 year old Rat Terrier. Benjamin is a 2 year old She-a-poo. And last but not least Carlos is a 4 year old Chihuahua. They are a joy to have and great company for me, too.
